Wondered if any PH-ers were members?

If so, what it's like? What are the benefits? Is it value for money? How expensive are the organised trips e.g. the Grand Tour.
What are the social gatherings like?

Many thanks

I've no direct knowledge of this particular club but have to say most of the similar ventures I've looked at seem mainly to operate over-priced European tours. Essentially by the time the tour participants have paid enough to cover,

a) Themselves
b) All expenses of the organisers who go along on the trip, and
c) The profit margin of the organisers

it all works out a bit pricey. Especially if they aspire to five star hotels and fine dining.

If possible, I think it's often better to just join a car club and then take part in a trip organised with a few mates. By the time you've got an iPhone, a TomTom, and a phrase book you're away and laughing!

Some reasonable CB type radios make a hell of a difference. Done a few owners club drives around Germany now and they've been invaluable.. sending messages to each other on the motorway, breaking up the tedium of a long drive, and just for general banter!

But agreed. Find a good owners club who get into some jaunts and tag along smile
