My sister is looking for a new cheap motor - She's keen on a Panda or 500 - She would happily have a pre-reg as she's not massively arsed about spec or colour.

I read on a fiat forum that a bloke got his wife a brand spanker Panda 1.2 dynamic for a pretty decent £5600 from his local dealer - admittedly this is without p/ex and paying cash. My sister wants a finance deal and to p/ex her old motor.

Anyone know of any decent websites where they do good deals on motors??

Doesn't have to be a Panda could be any decent small cars - (No corsas please!)

If she can hold off until January she'll find some great deals around if she calls in on the dealers towards the end of that month. No one buys cars in January so they'll all be struggling to achieve targets.

For Fiats try - http://www.fiatsupasaver.com/default.aspx

But don't expect much discount on the 500 as its still very popular and under a lot of demand

Take a look around towards the end of March, we got a good deal on a mitsubishi colt in september, £1500 off list.

I recently bought the wife a barely used 500 lounge from from fiat direct out near Heathrow (they come up if you do a search for used cars on the fiat website). Guy I dealt with was Sergio Lever and I have to say he was really pretty good including enquiring post purchase about how it was going etc. I had expressed an interest previously and then they had a "sale" on a particular day - i ended up saving about £1,000 on the list price for a car that was at the time approx 2 months old but had only done 1000 miles. The "sale" saved me another £250. I had a really good look around but couldnt beat this - you can save approx £500 for pre-reg but there are lots of dodgy b*stards out there who want to hold onto the V5. This was registered to a real person and I got the new V5 in the wife's name within a week of picking up the keys. As a big car dealer I am sure they would do part x and finance. I suspect they wont want to do the part x but they will want the finance! Its a great little car - no much welly but it drives pretty well and the mrs loves it. Lots of positive comments from friends and family. A bit different from the Porker but horses for courses etc! Good luck.

Id be very careful. Local "watchdog" style program had issues with these. Woman paid for a brand new Mercedes people carrier (same shape as the MB van), something went wrong, she took it back to MB and they told her that the vehicle was 7 year old and therefore was out of manufacturers warrantee and it was an import any way!

I keep seeing a link in the Facebook side ads for nearly new Fords direct from Ford which may be worth a click if the Ka or Fiesta interest you. Never clicked it myself as I found walking into any Ford showroom usually gets you a good deal on cars in stock if you're not over-fussy.
