I got tooted at last night.
Came up to a humped mini-roundabout with two exits: one to my left and one straight on. There was a vehicle (I won't mention the marque and model as we don't want to bring that up again) coming the other way and neither of us were indicating. We both arrived at the mini-roundabout at the same time.
I went around the roundabout to carry on straight as she turned right, completely cutting the roundabout and turning on her indicator as she did so. She then had the audacity to hold down her horn at me for being in her the way!
When society finally collapses, the catalyst will be an incident like this. People will take to the streets with broken bottles and stabbing weapons and inconsiderate drivers will die in a ditch with a mouth full of their own guts.

I had a middle aged person in a Micra shake their head at me and put their hands up, because they had to give way to me on a roundabout.
I'm not joking, it was a reasonably busy morning commute time, I simply pulled across the roundabout going straight on, and they wanted to turn left.
I saw them creeping at the roundabout and stop when I pulled across. There was a car in front of me, couple of car lengths, so it wasn't a surprise. Maybe 20mph. As they pulled in behind me I saw their gestures and head shaking.
Sometimes it makes me wonder what planet these people are on.

Actually, half of me sides with the woman driving the unnamed marque...
In all fairness, you are supposed to approach round-abouts and junctions with sufficient care that should somebody make a turning which they haven't indicated then you are able to do something about it, so considering there was a 50/50 chance she would be going straight on, or turning (and you would have to give way) then I think you should have already been slowing down to give way just incase.
On the other hand, I have an identical roundabout on my way home from work and I always slow right down for it because of the number of people who don't indicate. It's just a case of driving with the due care and attention for both yourself and the other driver.

I had 3 near misses in one day last week.
Whilst on each occasion the cars were all signalling left (quite a refreshing change) to take the exit I was leaving, they were each in fact turning right and not positioned properly either.
Hence, I pulled out and there was nearly a collision on 2 of the occasions; by the third time I was more cautious and just had to brake again.
WTF do people signal left to turn right .... directional dyslexia?

If she hadn't have effectively driven the wrong way around the roundabout but turning before it, I'd have some sympathy for that argument In all fairness, you are supposed to approach round-abouts and junctions with sufficient care that should somebody make a turning which they haven't indicated then you are able to do something about it

I'm playing devil's advocate now.

....has happened to me more than once....they just don't know the rules of the raod seem to be adamant that they are in the right.....yes...I also despair.Came up to a humped mini-roundabout with two exits: one to my left and one straight on. She was intending the go round the roundabout, but on seeing the OP approaching, not braking to let her turn, she had to take evasive action to prevent an accident (she was carrying too much speed to stop as she assumed the OP would let her make the turn she was intending to, despite not signalling her intention) by turning before the roundabout.
Again, I'm playing devil's advocate, and I'm not saying the other driver is in the right, just that there seems to be an attitude sometimes on this website that everyone else drives badly and people who drive properly are being inconvinienced by this. The OP could have prevented the whole thing by simply anticipating the other driver turning out to be the massive prat they are, slowed down a bit and not been in the way at all.

Or by selling their car and then nailing their feet to the floor so they're not tempted ever to move again. You have to assume other drivers will make some effort to follow the rules, or you'd never get anywhere.

Hear that Rawwr, you're getting done for driving without due care and attention. Run for the hills.I would agree you should have in your head everyone else on the road is an incompetent f
kwit and drive defensively but if it happened the way Rawwr said then other than the self protecting stance of f
kwittery he's perfectly within his rights to be pissed off.Driving without due care and attention would be not signalling your intentions before getting to the roundabout.
