Hi again, tis only me....

As you've probably gathered by my take all and give nothing back approach to posting....I've moved to reading and need to insure (well i need to buy first) a car. Who would you use for insurance? is there a site that could give me some pointers?

Again, sorry about this, I know this type of post isn't funny/interesting.

Thanks

You don't say if you have an EU licence or not.
However for something more "specialised" like your situation I'd go to a specialist broker who will be able to cope with more difficult cases.

You could do worse than contact Adrian Flux - there's a sticky at the top of the GG forum page.

Irish license, which I suspect is a European license.

Have you had car insurance in Ireland? if so does the company you where insured with there have a UK arm, if it does they may be able to produce a driving history/claims history to create you a NCB.
