Everyone just plods along these days.
What happened to a world where it was RIGHT and PROPER to go on the motorway and occasionally see a lambo, a 911 or a ferrari scream past everyone in the outer lane at 130mph plus ? If I see a Gallardo or a 360 Challenge Stradale or a GT3 on my travels, IT DAMM WELL SHOULD BE DOING MACH4, that's what they were built for.
You don't see this anymore, not round my way. In fact, on any particular journey i've only got to up the pace a little in my crappy 1998 1.8 litre passat and I don't get overtaken all journey. This isn't a brag, just an observation that the whole country seems afraid and constrained and boxed in. Ok, so you get the odd range rover sport or Audi A5 mowing everyone down in the outside lane but in a funny kind of way they are the very cars you don't want to see going very fast.
Show me the big fat twin blower GT2, the 12 cylinder Murci or the Skyline GTR and show it to me at 150+ please .... completely banzai and blitzing up and down the country like a man possesed. F**k the magistrates !
