Nissan 200sx s13.

I was going too fast and missed an unlit junction at night. Could have killed some bloke and his kid. Thankfully didn't.

Wrote off a saxo after 3 years of driving, wasn't watching ahead and car in front stopped. My own stupid fault, instant write off of my car, not a scratch on their X reg Corsa.

Did the same thing again at a roundabout where the car in front pulled off & then stopped in the middle of the road. Luckerly £150 cash and the guy was happy enough with it. Still felt he was a pilloc for changing his mind, he had more then enough room for us both to pull out. frown

Hmm lets see

Nothing from the age of 19 until i turned 43, then as i approached a roundabout, a mazda rx 8 pulled out onto the roundabout, i checked to see if there was anything coming, started to move, looked up just in nice time to witness the front of my car crumpling the rear of hers. Why she stopped on the roundabout i dont know, but she did. Me? I scored a direct hitpaperbag

Wrote off a manta gte coupe in the works yard when i was 19. Showing a colleague my awesome drifts, enthusiasm far outweighing ablity, put it straight under a truck! No crashes on the road so far thankfully.

Yep, 11 days after passing....problem was thinking i was invincible, those 11 days were absolutely flat out! Prob wasn't helped by having done basic karting since i was 12 and being used to bouncing off obstacles yet keeping going, and also my driving examiner proclaiming it was the best driving he'd seen all yr (this was said in sept)! lol

...oh yeah, the result ended up with a nova sr destroying a large proportion of a cemetary wall, along with most of itself!

Learnt the lesson though, 12 yrs have passed and its my only fault accident.

My luck held out in terms of having a prang due to lack of talent. Sadly letting some dick head fit the big brake kit to my Pug 106 so that the pipes rubbed proved my undoing. Into the back of a Fiesta at 10mph. Somehow did zero damage to it though. The front of mine was a mess!

Had three fault accidents within 2 years after passing my driving test. frown
First two were rear ending into the car in front, the third I wasn't looking at a roundabout & collided into the passenger door of a brand new fiesta, whoops.

Then five years later I wrote off my Volvo 480 into a bridge wall whilst speeding round a bend.

I had quite a serious accident on 1st August 1974, five years after my test. I've not had one since.

1yr after my test I rear ended a Nova in a line of traffic, too busy watching the girls come out of Bromsgrove high school.

I understeered my Rover into some rocks last December. I was only going about 5-10mph at the time. left a couple of scratches which was thankfully the full extent of the damage because the car was balanced on a somewhat pointy rock on the sump! yikes

A few weeks after passing my test, hit a wall and then a 4x4 within a short time of eachother. Learnt my lesson and not a bump since then (or at least not one that was my fault)

Aye, passed in 2001 and wrote of 2.

1. Mini (proper one, not a BMW). Crossing a main road, you are allowed to go one way accross it but not the other way. Everyone used to do both so i started to go accross, then my cousin started shouting and before i knew it from behind the tall grass i saw a Mk3 Astra, crunching metal and horrible noises. Another few feet forward and the Astra would have hit my passanger door probably killing my cousin. As it was we were both ok and no one was injured, got a 6 month ban though frown

2. Head on down some small country lanes, Cavalier GSi and me in a Toyota Starlet, wrote both off. 4 rugby players from Bristol got out of the Cavy, hooj blokes they were, made me sign a bit of paper saying it was MY fault. Insurance said that it didnt mean anything and it was a 50/50 accident.

That's it, touch wood........

Couple of minor offs, 1st was in my bosses Rover 216 that I managed to rear end a lorry with, he later admitted the speedo was faulty so maybe it wasn't all my fault. 2nd was in my Opel Kadett which I span & seconds later 3 cars came the other way - that taught me a valuable lesson. 3rd was probably not my fault but as a 19yr old I was intimidated into accepting liability for a minor incident with a Brummie taxi driver. I also managed to lose the works Ital Estate (yes, lovely car!) with 6 mates on board + me, drifted it over a kerb & across some poor sods front garden stopping just short of their front window - managed to drive off & park the car around the corner before abandoning it as the suspension was bent!
