Just having a browse of www.instructables.com and found this bike pump described as being "Fill your bicycle wheels with conveniently available pressurized air stored in automobiles."

Quite funny, but potentially lethal, trust the septics!

As already stated in the link, it wouldn't work as most bicycle tyres run a much higher pressure than car and even truck tyres.

Love the last instruction: "Remember! Thou shalt not steal air from public transportation. Public transportation is good."

Anything less than a bus or proper (18T+) HGV won't have enough tyre pressure!

Nice to think of the good samaritan cyclist going around topping up car tyres which surveys show are so often under-inflated.

Given that pressure equalises may be interesting to see it work.

Don't forget though that there is a larger quantity of air in a car tyre than a bike one.
