1st one, from a small indy dealer,
cheaper
fully specced up
but
older
higher mileage
no bmw warranty

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2010...

2nd one, main dealer car,
newer
more expensive,
missing options (bluetooth, cruise, xenons),
but
low mileage
with proper warranty

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2010...

prob buy one of these this week, but im really undecided. options and warranty being the main issues obvioulsy

Really no substitute for poking around them in the flesh. Pics can only show so much.

Main dealer one is a nicer colour, so voted for that.

I voted for main dealer.

Stating the obvious but be sure to haggle on price, especially as we approach winter and RWD convertibles are harder to shift.

Z4 without the options is very hard to shift. You will pay for it later.

How flexible is your budget?

Z4MC, all the toys and BMW warranty
would love to, but distance is a killer, and im try to be a little self controlled in the running costs.

There isn't much in it price wise, you may as well go with the main dealer. You could probably knock £900 off in negotiations.

Main dealer, the options can probably be sorted out yourself diy or dealer fit? Get a bluetooth stereo and get cruise fitted, don't worry about the xenons.

I'd go for the main dealer one.If the interior is up to scratch then get that.

Don't worry about resale etc it's when you have to live ,sit in it for a couple of years that's important and with

that few miles it should be a peach.Anyway it's only a grand more..

Keep looking.

Grey/red is awesome, I would spend £15k at a dealer myself. Try and find a better spec and spend a bit more £££ IMO

Are bluetooth, cruise and xenons *really* desirable on Z4?? Sure on a 3-Series but a Z4?
I'm after a Z4 atm but wouldn't consider these essential. Would these affect the price at all?

i want cruise so i keep my licence
i want bluetooth so i can use my phone and keep my licence
i want xenons because it look nice and helps? resale
i want satnav because it look nice and helps? resale

i can do without any i guess, but the fact that i can get AND for less money kinda annoys me.

Cruise. Wimp, never used never intend to use.
Bluetooth. Plenty of after market options
Sat Nav. Built in ones are useless after a few years and valueless unless updateable
Xenons. Upgrades are possible after market.

Personally I wouldn't buy a car without xenons if it was available as an option. A must have in my book.
Depends on the standard headlights. e.g. Becs' Golf has pretty decent dipped-beam, whereas my 'teg is awful. But yes, Xenons are a big sell for me.

I picked the Indy as the spec will make it easier to sell and (assuming a £1k difference in the final price) you can buy a good warranty afterwards. Plus 36k on a 4y.o. car isn't high - it's just run-in!

That said, the main-dealer one is a better colour-combo. Not sure how easy some options are to retro-fit...

just spoke to the dealer and they pretty dismissed retro fit any of the options.

Maybe the question that should be asked is why a Z4 of this age and condition is outside of the BMW dealer network?

IMO, BMW want to hold on to the good un's
