Needed a second car for a new job and wanted to spend a couple of grand on a motor, thinking a Passat tdi would fit the job nicely. Went to look at a tdi 130, 128k with 5 stamps in the book for £2800....Mmmm clutch judder and a front end which had been resprayed by David Blunkett had me heading for the hills.

So had a look on the net at BMW's as i'm a fan of the 6 cylinder and went to look at a 1994 e36 325i. 125k miles with it only covering 17k since 2003, 14 main dealer stamps a stack of reciepts, full leather and no worries about egr valves, dmf as with some oil burners. She drove like a dream and now sits on the drive costing me 900 quid, oh with 6 months tax and test!

It's not the most economical (average 28mpg) but when its time to sell I'll get back what I paid for it. Adding it to my 330i will mean me and the pump attendant will be on first name terms but no regrets so far!

Now just need to sell the oversize Mv1 alloys off it and sort the pogo rear shocks.
