Mike Brewer..forget what you know.
Discussion
OK, so tonight I was lucky enough to be invited to the Chelsea Champions League game (I am a Blue) with Ford Motor Company.
Imagine my surprise when I learned that the other guest was none other than Wheeler Dealer legend Mike Brewer. In my time I have stated that it is Ed that does the work and Mike just takes the glory (I still think that is true) but I now know that Mike is a genuine petrol head.
Chatting with him I learned that he does care about the cars they look after, and that he really does want them to live on. In fact, after a few chats I would be more than happy to buy a car from him and he knows that when he transmits an episode about TVR's he is fully aware that the eyes of PH are upon him. You may be surprised to know that interested parties who call usually reach Mike directly.
After an evening of brief conversation, I have to say that Mike is a true PHer and is only interested in the cars living on, I did get an insight into the next series but I promised I wouldn't tell.....needless to say that I will stand by that, but he is a true car enthusiast and I thank him for that.

Always nice to hear. I watched the FRontline Battle Machines thing on Discovery last night, thinking it'll be Mike Brewer annoying the feck out of some troops, but hats off to the guy he presented it well. He doesn't know much about it all and is there to learn, like you or I would be. But the good thing is that he doesn't try to prentend he knows something he doesn't, so he conveys everything straight to the novice viewer as if you were there yourself, if that makes sense. It's good viewing!
He'll only be a true petrolhead when he does a program dedicated to the Citroen BX as far as I'm concerned though. That's the benchmark of any true TV based motoring enthusiast, and you all know it.

I've always thought of him as a likeable, cheeky-chappy type person. I've read on here before, people calling him allsorts. I'm glad he's as decent as he seems on TV and that he is a true petrolhead.
Off topic a bit, Richard Hammond gets the same stick on here but, I know someone that's met him twice and he too was a chatty, friendly, genuine petrolhead. The same person also met Clarkson. He wasn't very chatty at all. Pretty much what you'd expect I suppose.
