I can't help noticing how many Subaru Legacy owners love to recommend their own car as an answer to any "what car" question. And 300bhp/ton's love of Yank cars is well known. But which brand has the most blindly loyal owners on PH?

Suggest any car may in any way be better than an Elise on SELOC and they'll cross the streams of hate at you.

You missed 'Audi'.

I have never known a marque or model where the owners are so completely and utterly devoted to their brand. 2 people I know have only owned Audis for about 17/18years, and as a whole will not hear a bad word said about them.

Someone I know sold their S4 and bought a 335d. Several members of a forum contacted him via the forum and text, and outright accused him of betraying the brand.

Never known anything like it, short of iPhone/Apple fans.

I'm surprised at the exclusion of Alfa Romeo on the poll to be honest. Of the marques listed, it has to be TVR. The majority of owners seem to be absolute mentalists (in a nice way)!

I vote Land Rover.

Only because I cannot abide the 'One Life, Live It' stickers. Totally gay, and not something a person of rational thought should be doing.

Surely you mean "better than a Porsche"?

Definitely BMW with an honourable mention to Porsche. Lotus deserves a place on the list, though.

Basically, any single marque forums are breeding grounds for hate and contempt.

BMW, but, and it is a big but, not petrol heads who own BMWs. Just the random fkwits who have purchased "The Ultimate Driving Machine" in it's poverty spec and yet still insist it is the best car ever.

Cretins, i can deal with any petrol head brand loyalty (Subaru and Toyota for me) as we can generally back up the statement with a reason but the masses are fking idiot sheep.

How does being poverty spec affect the driving pleasure? Do heated seats, folding mirrors and big flash wheels add to the petrolhead experience? confused

Skodas! I'm sure they are absolutely fine, but why does every Skoda owner insist on telling you at every opportunity that oohitsmadebyvolkswagenaudinowyouknow and oohitsreallywellputtogetherjustlikeavolkswagen, like they have to justify why they bought it.
