Why would you want your hands that high up?

Infront of your face?

Thread title fail! smile

What a load of st though. Why would somebody rather be in that than on a regular push bike? Madness.

I deliberated over putting it in Lounge or General Gassing and decided it didn't merit being here. Seems like the mods are more generous than I am.

Disc brakes to provide "100% stopping power." Is that really a USP?

I have actually had a car with less than 100% stopping power - but it was 15 years old, had 200,000 miles on the clock and to put it mildly, it was completely fked.

The C5 was launched in 1985, now we have the X-1.
This video shows the 'progress' made in only 25 years..

I'm disabled with left leg problems and can't ride a normal bike any more (hospital instructions). With this being a FF (foot forward) and having electric assist it actually appeals to me. I'm keeping my fingers crossed it's a total failure and they get sold off cheap enough for me to buy one (and increase motor power smile )
I think I must be in a very small majority as most people aren't very impressed.

It never ceases to amaze me that the ginger bearded chromedome responsible for this came-up with such innovations as affordable pocket calculators, micro tv, and the ZX80, 81 and Spectrum, yet for decades has been obsessed with Duracell-powered special-needs chariots such as the abortion pictured above.

Hmm. Surely if it didn't have 100% stopping power, it would be incapable of stopping at all.

Like a shark.

How do you stop it falling over when you stop?

I have a C5 and it's good fun, this just looks a more modern version with a roof (and no windscreen wiper?).

More like a supermarket trolley than a shark in the case of my old Scirroco.

Kerbs and have 100% stopping power, and the car was capable of stopping, just not entirely by it's own brakes.
