Insurance recommendations?

I know this is a minefield subject but does anyone have any recommendations, before I trawl around looking for some new cover

I'm currently with Admiral, and getting quoted £1250 for me and the OH on a 2007 330d Tourer, which in my eyes is scandalous, 2 years ago we were paying lass than that for an E46 M3!!!! It is also the reason why we didn't get another 335d Tourer that was coming in at closer to £1700 for crying out loud, I know insurance has risen but that's just taking the piss

I wouldn't mind paying those amounts if I was 21, but I'm 29, she is 24 and bar my 6 points (sp30 and mw10) there is a clean driving record with maximum no claims bonus
