Someone put the link above, but basically its an association for manufacturers of aftermarket car parts in the US, I think it started out as mainly the hot rod/street rod industry, but its expanded to everything now.and what is sema?
They have a massive show in Vegas every year and do a lot of work with regards to legislation that would affect the business of their members - lobbying state governors, senators etc.
They are actually a huge force over there and have already got some proposed laws revised/scrapped.
