Can anyone tell me if the 2001 (X Reg) Jaguar XK8 convertable 4.0L twin supercharged model does it have a cambelt or is it a chain. also at what mileage interval does it require attention.

It's a chain and officially it's a lifetime part.

Realistically it can be far from lifetime thanks to badly designed tensioners. Loads of threads on here about it, and some of us have suffered.

Do your reseach and buy one that's sorted and you'll be fine. smile
