Just drove every Porsche in the range, my favourite was...

Ignoring the obvious (GT3), I really liked the Panamera, especially in 4S guise.
A bit of background - Yesterday I took part in a driving day with the amazing Porsche experience centre at Silverstone. It involved half a day on the track, driving Boxster's / Cayman's on the handling circuit, 911's on simulated sheet ice, drifting GT3's, Cayenne's offroad (which are surprisingly capable) and an hour on the road in a Panamera.
I'm only in my late 20's with no family so I'll never have a use for a Panamera, but it made a lot of sense to me as a road car when that time comes. It's a lovely place to be, and on the road it's an excellent drive. The 4S version makes progress easy and lots of lovely noises too. Don't get me wrong, every Porsche was as you'd expect a Porsche to be, the only one I didn't find brilliant was the Boxster, but then I'd just come out of a Cayman S so it felt soft in comparison. The Panamera just felt special on the road.
The only issue... I just spec'd up the level of options on the 4S we were in and it was a wisker short of 100k... Ouch. Perhaps they'll become a second hand bargain eh.
On a side note, PH people should try and get one on a long term test, I understand Porsche are looking for a bit of publicity

There's no mention of the GT2 in your post. Did you have a go on the batak board in the physical assessment area? I found the kicker plate in the skid pan area particularly amusing especially with the gt2.
Sadly the GT2 wasn't being used, I can imagine that was interesting on the kicker! I actually hated the kicker section of the day, it felt very unnatural.Edited by Gwagon111 on Tuesday 9th November 10:38
We got 2 goes on the Batak, best score 84.

There was a grey 4S driving through Hitchin on Sunday - Very nice car indeed
If it was the dark grey one that's the one. Was even nicer on the inside.Keep dropping hints to the wife about doing a Porsche experience for my 30th next year! I'll see if they pay off!
