I am suprised that there have been no comments on this video in so far as I know.
Either they paid every other car (including the Porsche) to drive slowly as they went around, or it is stupidly fast. Watching the video made me think of Usain Bolt at a fathers day race.

The reason you haven't heard much about it is because the weather wasn't in place for a record attempt.I am suprised that there have been no comments on this video in so far as I know.
That and the fact that Bennett drove like an arse, overtaking a whole stream of cars under yellow flags, thus getting the car banned by the TDO. Couple that with some 'antics' in the car park and let's just say that Caparo didn't cover themselves in glory.
Shame really. It would have been nice to see that car do the business.

That Jag about 2.05 into the video has got f-ing good car control to catch that drift!!
Or s
t car control to get into that position in the first place, unless it was intentional of course.Shame it couldn't have a go at the record.

i didn't know it was made in the UK until recently.
Long Stratton motor Company (Their headquarters) always has one in the window. Looks awesome. Even my dad who isn't in to cars desperately wants one.
ahhh yes, Long Stratton Aston Martin, Mr Roger Bennington, makes Dave Richards from Pro-Drive look like a pussycat when it comes to business dealings.Long Stratton motor Company (Their headquarters) always has one in the window. Looks awesome. Even my dad who isn't in to cars desperately wants one.
I used to work on the industrial estate in Long Stratton back around 1991-3, interesting times. All above board of course, would never suggest anything else.
Always used to admire the Aston Martin Bulldog that he had on display, don't know if it was his but I have noticed it has popped up for sale recently for a few million.
As for the Caparo, I think it will end up either being a modern day Cizeta Moroder as in nice try but not quite, or this will slowburn and develop further into a true great.
Trouble is there is actually a lot of competition out there so they really need to sort a proper 'Ring time out, that way they get world wide press. A record time around the Ring is priceless press coverage
Phil Bennett - ex touring car driver. Drove the record-breaking Radical lap.
I honestly have very little idea as to how quickly this would go. At a rough guess 6:50 for a full lap?
After the furore about the day in question, Caparo initially denied that it was a factory-backed effort, but when the car is being driven by a driver like Bennett, the car is booked onto the day by Caparo Cars Ltd and was attended to by a bunch of guys in Caparo polo shirts, you can draw your own conclusions.

I once saw a group of people all wearing ferrari jackets and baseball caps, they even had ferrari key rings. I thought they were part of the race team, then I asked myself "what would ferrari be doing at Bluewater".HAG LS1 said:
