Not sure what I'm after? It's a tool to crimp an unshielded female 6.6mm electrical connector. The tool curls the metal back on itself and onto the stripped wire, you can then slide a plastic shield over to protect the connector.

Had a Google and looked on Ebay but nothing??

Not quite sure how you couldn't find them on ebay but:

The ratchet types always better than the basic scissor type

Found those but they crimp the standard shielded type connector.

Presuming you mean this sort of connector

Only without the plastic shield it will be fine for them as well

Think he means these ones.

No idea how to do them properly, I just fold the edges in with pliers then pinch them up with crimpers. Doesn't seem the correct way to do it but you could always solder them too (perhaps the reason why they aren't insulated to start with?)

That's the one, I've bent and soldered them in the past but I'm sure there's a crimp tool to do them properly.

The top ones (PR3s) in esuuv's link look like the ones then. No idea what the proper name for that type of terminal is but they crimp up in the same way flag terminals do, which the PR3s get 2 * for!

I've got one of the proper tools that do the "factory" crimps on uninsulated terminals. Cost me around £40 but I've since seen them for less. Still not as cheap as even the decent ratchet insulated type crimpers though. I got mine from a custom wiring loom manufactuer at a kit car show.

You use an Erma crimp tool for those. It folds the tabs over so they bite into the wire. I've never had one come loose in 20 years or more.

Slightly off topic

Anyone got somewhere that sells decent quality crimps at a reasonable price as alot of bulk ones seem to be utter gash
