Passed my driving test yesterday with 3 minors biggrin (Thats 'mistakes', not 3 children).

I'd say I'm quite confident driving on my own, But not cocky like a few of my friends when they passed.

So far I've put 72 miles on my Dads MGB which I'm using until mines finished, I'm just hoping for some dryish weather to go out and have a better drive in!

Now when is the next PH meet in / near Kent thumbup

Well done, I still remember the feeling. Passed mine on a Fri 13th! When you're driving, best to asssume everyone else is stupid or at least not paying attention for self preservation.

Enjoy the MGB smile

Nice to see you have a classic to drive and have your own as well.

All the best from a fellow MGB owner wink

Well done. smile

Bear in mind, though, that however good you are at driving there are quite a few bits of road-craft and car control that you can only really pick up through experience, so be careful. An MGB wont be forgiving if you crash it (my first car was an MGB and I nearly did on several occasions) and the roads are damned slippery at this time of year. I reckon it took me three years after I passed my test to become a competent driver, and at least another five to become a good one (assuming I even qualify as that now).

Personally I'd recommend at least doing pass plus and probably joining the IAM or similar. Don't take everything they teach as bible, but you'll learn an awful lot from both.

Take it easy. I can assure you the high of passing is nowhere near as low as your first scrape! And yes you will have one! [/VOICE OF DOOM]
