Realistic Dream Cars
Discussion
Thought I would try this as a topic. In a dream world we would all love to have a F40 or something like that in the garage, but at £300,000 few of us can afford one, so my question is, what dream car would you like to have in your garage, that you can realistically afford?
For me, it would have to either a Venturi Atlantique or a Noble (both are around £20-25k)
How about you?

Mine.

It seems a bit feeble, but I'm the same.If there was more of a 'dream car' that was affordable, then I'd probably have it. Within my budget, I'm not sure there's much I'd change mine for.
Always had a soft spot for a Maserati Shamal, though.

I don't have any money so my dream car would be around £15k which is sad, so I'd probably go for an AMG E55. Not really a dream car but 470bhp would compensate.
We are spending £33k on the house at present (hence why I have no money) so assuming my wife ran off with the milkman I could afford £48k which I guess would get me something nice. The problem is I would only have to do it once, so my dream car would have to turn into a classic car to get my money's worth. It still wouldn't be a dream car though, by definition, it would be a heavily calucated car that was pleasurable.
I think you can only have a dream car if it is out of reach??

Kind of happy with what I've got. I would really like to own a Corvette at some point and I'm quite a fan of the DC2 ITR. Mustang's appeal. For me, it would have to either a Venturi Atlantique or a Noble (both are around £20-25k)

I guess my trouble is I like very specific models and specs and most would need to be modded. But none are vastly expensive.
So it must come down to what are your dream vehicles?
Alfa Romeo Brera S
It's one of those 'everything I want in a car' cars. Stunning Giorgetto Giugiaro design that wouldn't look out of place on a Maserati or suchlike, wonderful exhaust note, and honed, stiffened and lightened by a company more used to sending Aston Martins round racetracks and Subarus round rally stages, so it'd handle a trackday or a road-rally with ease and be competitive in the AROC Chris Knott Sprint Cup.
However, throw into the mix the fact that it's a four-seater hatchback with reasonable fuel consumption if driven gently, and the Alfa reputation for rust and reliability woes was effectively banished with that generation of what were, truth be told, over-engineered models, and it seems a good bet that covers all potential eventualities, including children.
And now that, even as a limited-edition special, they're down around £13k and there's bound to be a replacement based on the Giulietta on the way soon-ish, it won't be too long before it's in second-hand repmobile territory too. Perfect.
Ideally in that dark metallic red with 'carbonio' teledial alloys and a high-contrast red and black leather interior. Perfect.

TVR T350C.
One of my all time favourite cars and pretty realistic for a few years' time I reckon. Given a bit more budget - but still vaguely realistic - I would love a current-shape Aston Martin V8 Vantage. I think (barring the V12 Vantage, which, for me is lottery-win territory) it's my all time favourite model from one of my all time favourite marques.
