anyone know anything about paypal claims?
Discussion
Got paid via paypal for an ebay item, posted it on 25th October. Then yesterday out the blue, I receive a mail from paypal saying buyer has raised a non received item dispute. Paypal very nicely immediately take the money back off me, that's before it escalates to a paypal claim! Buyer has never contacted me to say it didn't arrive and its been over 2 weeks now.
Now I can prove I paid the post office on the day its on my bank statement but I don't have the proof of posting any more as I only keep them a week to 2 weeks. Do I have a leg to stand on or am I going to get ripped off.
The buyer has a bit negative feedback (about 85%) so I suspect he is playing the system.

As above really I'm afraid.. Always use a trackable service, makes it worthwhile when people like this come along!
However, phone EBay and explain the situation. Tell them you can prove you paid for it and that the buyer hasn't contacted you and just see if they offer any advice.
We sell on EBay at work and do very good business, always getting people claiming not to receive goods. Strangely enough, it only ever happens when we send out items that cost less than a tenner and use Royal Mail 1st Class Post??
