Can anyone advise me which is the best HPI check to use?
I know you can get some for £3, but I'm happy to pay extra for more details - however I'm not sure whether you are paying extra for more details or paying extra for the insurance cover.
Thanks smile

Ian, if this is for the reg you posted yesterday, the car was showing clear. 3 plate changes, but not showing on any registers for outstanding finance, stolen, written off etc. I used an Experian search at work to do that. Obviously, as I would say to anyone, that is what was showing for the vehicle yesterday, there could be controversial information not yet updated noone knows.

Thanks Robsco,
It is for the plate I posted yesterday and in actual fact I did get a friend of mine to do a check for me in the end (they just wern't available when I posted yesterday afternoon) I don't know what they used, but they also came back with the same details as you mentioned - however now I'm looking to buy the car, I'm wondering if I should purchase a more comprehensive check that might give me mileage and things? and obviously insurance?

I used it and found it to be very comprehensive.

I'm not at work today mate but I'll be back tomorrow to double check, but I'm fairly certain the mileage was checked last April and it showed about 15k...? I'll confirm that with you in the morning.

Beware i fell foul of a hpi check only to find the Data they use is unverified from the DVLA. The DVLA pass on information to the likes of HPI on the understanding it may well be different from that of the cars recorded mileage.
Buy one with FSH and contact some of the servicing garages. Dont think because you have an HPI done the car will be 100% genuine.

Cheers mate, it all seems to add up pretty well, the car is on 18,000 miles now and the servicing records seem to tally. NB I will do my own check as well, but thanks for helping out - I owe you a beer

No trouble mate, the mileage was inputted as 14k last April so it seems ok. 3 registered keepers, last owner change March this year. It does say "Other" in the manufacturer and model, so I presume its a kit car of some sort? Don't worry about the beer wink PH is supposed to be a community, so why not help each other out where possible? Let me know what happens.

Cheers Robsco, good to see the community spirit is still here. The car is a Noble GTO-3R, picking it up on Wednesday, so fingers crossed all is good, thanks again mate smile
