I bought my 1st porsche this week, well chuffed.
I bought it from a dealer not too far from me, I viewed the car and took it for a test drive, i instantly fealt in good hands with the sales guy, no nonsense and a good deal for the car!! Plus he had nice hands...

I wanted to pick the car up as sooon as yesterday, but as the pre delivery inspection showed a couple of things that needed to be done before they would let me take the car were found, so I had to wait.. No finger nails later i popped in to pay the balance and check when i could pick the car up.

They told me the car needed a new exhaust and a couple of other minor bits, As I cannot leave anything alone I offered a slight drop in price on the car and to forget replacing the exhaust as I would probably change the exhaust for an uprated one, maybe a Miltek/tubi etc..

The sales guy (owner of garage) said not to mess around with non OE parts, said give me 5 mins... he re appeared with a huge smile on his face and told me that they would supply and fit a porsche sports exhaust for £500-00 inc vat and fitting.... Knowing how expesive porsche bits are I thought it was a good deal?? (remember I offered for them to leave the exhaust as i knew a Miltek cat back would cost me £550-00 brand new!!!) So thought this was the better option.

Well the day came I picked up the car, flew home to show the girlfriend who instantly dropped to her knees and proceeded to kiss my cock for having a nice shiny porsche!! ha ha ha...

All was well... Untill i dropped the car off at a well known tuning company who reported that I had been well and truly fked over on the exhaust!!!

The dodgy bds had left the old rotten exhausts on, cut the exit pipes, removed a little baffle, and wealded a pipe to bypass the muffler to the tail pipes.. £500-00 for some clever wealding!!

I took the car back after consulting trading standards, just to see where i stood.... In good stance apparently!!!

The owner of the garage called me back and proceeded to tell me that this was perfectly normal!! ??? how many chior boys have heard that line from the local catholic priest??

Can any one tell me how they would feel about this as the garage have tried to make me feel in the wrong.. even told me to bring the car back and would refund the money.. I told them where to get off and will keep the car as it is mint.

The owner of the garage has corrected his rip off tactics by paying for a new uprated exhaust of my choice... but cant help feeling well bitter that they even tried to do it.

Would you feel the same???

Luke.

Just wondered what others would feel about what i said... just shows that no matter how genuine a dealer may seem, the minuite you look away hes got you pants down and ready to F*@ck you over.

Remove old exhaust and fit sports spec replcament.
Take exhaust back and ask for a refund on their "sports" exhaust, if they refuse. Throw through their office window and leave with a great 11 down the road.

You should be aware that the exhaust they added on at the end is a product not as described, and that as it was an add on it should be in the form of a separate sale. They only offered you the exaust after you had agreed an original price for the car, the exhaust is a purchase in its own right. If trading standards is informed of this he would find himself in a bit of trouble for selling something which doesnt correspond with described item. He cannot suggest you to get a full refund on the car, but you can request for him to give you a full refund on the exhaust.

And if that fails then take the exhaust, saw it in half, take it back to him and request that he fits a proper OEM exhaust on as the ste he put on before fell off! If he refuses then just leave your exhaust on one of the other shiney cars he has for sale.

The dealer saw sense in the end and coughed up for a nice shiny new system..... I still would never go back there though.
