What do you think of these two cars?
Discussion
My sister managed to destroy her old car going through a ford which was too deep
She wants a cheap (sub £1000) car to get her to Switzerland where she works for the winter. Won't be doing many miles when out there but it needs to handle the cold and will come back to the every few months. She also needs a fairly large car to transport work stuff. Reliability, not power/looks is the main issue !
What do you think of these:

Any other ideas?

Could you not look at fixing her current car??
drain the oil, replace with new,
Pull the sparkys/injectors out and crank the engine,
spray a little bit of WD-40 in,
crank again,
repeat oil change, reassemble engine.
Job Done
unless the starter/other electrics also had a drink, in which case replace/strip and dry as required.

You've obviously never seen the inside of an engine that has breathed water instead of air. Water isn't very compressible. In relation to water, conrods are.drain the oil, replace with new,
