The other day my wife picked me up from work and I noticed her driving was very jerky and she slipped the clutch a few times. Immediately I asked if she was wearing high heels which she was.

This kicked off a little spat where I said she should not drive with heels however she stood firm insisting she could. Do any other blokes have this problem!?!?!? I don't see how you can modulate the clutch, brake and throttle with a big spike on the end of your shoes!

On top of this, I've noticed her bloody heels have begun to gouge a hole in the floor mats which is annoying.

To solve it, I was thinking of buying her a pair of "stylish" driving shoes that she can keep in the car....

Mine as driven in heels since she started driving. The driving is just as bad with or without!

To be fair, she's actually quite a good driver normally but with heels, she's shockingly bad and refuses to accept her mistakes!

I think it depends if they have nice legs and stockings, I am sure that helps :-)

I prefer kitten heels, more comfortable.

It's not ideal, but then nor are heavy boots and plenty of people drive in them. A heal doesn't automatically make someone a bad driver.

I didn't own a pair of flat shoes until I tried driving the Tamora in heels, just impossible, every other car I've ever driven no problem, although 4 iches is about my limit for driving in.

It's really hard - you have very little control as you can't pivot on the heel like you can in flats and kind of have to press from the knee rather than the ankle. Really not recommended which is why I voted "no"
