It's very obvious that Garlick has an unnatural, perhaps even sexual, attraction to anything from a particular era with a three-pointed star nailed to it and I'd be curious to know if any else has a similarly creepy lust for a particular marque from a particular point in time?

Minis

Makes Garlick's Benz fascination look like a passing interest.

Anything i can't really afford....and that will undoubtedly end up in tears/blood/clouds of steam or smoke....and an empty cheque book.

For me, resurrecting old DOS software, getting it to run under windows.

Not car-related as I enjoy the experience of driving a wide variety of cars but I can't help buying cheap watches. I keep trying to save up for a decent one but get easily distracted.

Pretty much any MB with a V8.

A well sorted GTV V6 (thanks to today's SOTW).

And pretty much any Alfa with a transaxle. Or a V6. Or a twink. Or a flat 4.

Big, angular '80s/'90s saloons. The sort of thing you'd expect to find a body in the boot of. I'd always buy one in preference to a supermini as an everyday smokeabout any day. Really fancy an Alfa Romeo 164 at the moment.

Late 80s/early 90s Japanese stuff, or just weird JDM cars. Never had anything Japanese but I can't help but look at it!

I seem to hanker after cars that are a bit flawed, the underdog spirit maybe. First proper love was an Alfa 33, literally rubbish... but still great.
