Has anyone fitted an after market remote locking system?

I have a 1982 635CSI which has central locking but only from the key. Trying to get her open while holding a baby and some shopping is proving frustrating so i'd like to fit an after market kit. can anyone recommend and if so was it a difficult job to fit?

I had one on my Mk2 Golf and it was brilliant, had remote engine start too, god send for winter biggrin. Im unsure of the make as a mate that owned the car before me fitted it, and said it was easy enough (he is an electrician though). It looked exactly like a clifford alarm, and it was on ebay for about £45. Sorry I cant be of any more help.

I fitted one to my A8 that before only had it on the key (bizarre, as the car had double glazing, electric everything and cost in the region of £60k new....anyway I digress!)
I bought This kit from e-bay. The quality was better than I expected for the money, and it worked really well, even integrating with the total closure (windows+sunroof etc) feature.

this looks ideal... was it easy enough to fit? I'm guessing it'd depend on the type of car?

The wiring diagrams that came with it didn't really explain themselves very well, but there were much better ones on their website. Plus I had to work out the Audi's wiring that turned out to be "ground pulsed" rather than +12v switched as the instructions said they would.

I reckon an afternoon should do it if your car is simpler than the Audi.
