Can anyone recommend an insurance company who can do more than 30 days of EU insurance cover per trip? Need the option of driving to Europe for a few months but struggling to find a broker/insurer who can do more than 30 or 60 days. 365 days would be ideal or at least a 6 month timeline.

The cover can be minimal - just basic 3rd party.

Cheers

I thought you get the basic required cover, ie third party, included as standard and it was just the like-for-like cover that is restricted to 30 days. That's the case with mine anyway.

If you are going to be driving on the continent for this length of time without a return to blighty it may be worth insuring it with a foreign insurance company, there are some French companies that will insure a GB registered car, if you are going to be 12 months though I believe technically you should re-register the car abroad.
