Hello all and greetings from the Emerald Isle, that's Ireland to you and me. I'm a regular visitor to several other motoring sites/forums and only recently came across Pistonheads, so, here I am. I am the very proud and happy owner of a 1997 Jaguar xj6 (x300), having previously driven a 1990 BMW 735, though I will never go back! The BMW needed a little more work to it to bring it up to showroom spec and I realised that by spending a little bit more I could pick up a good, top spec, more modern, better equipped car in the form of the Jag. In the present economic climate, it's a buyers market, especially here in Ireland, where prohibitive road tax puts a lot of people off owning big engined cars. Annual road tax here is €1,600 for the Jag, or anything over 2.0 litre for that matter. Need I say more? Anyway, just saying hello and hope to post some pics soon.
