Well the one that's cheapest, has the lower miles and the bigger engine seems to be pretty OBVIOUS to me...

2nd one. why will it not have warranty? says its trade sale, therefore must have some form of warranty? It has 30k less on clock, is the VVTi vs the Sr, and for me is the better car.

The fact that he has made that statement however means two things:
1) He's not even aware of the laws that are applicable to the motor trade
2) He doesn't want to sort out anyone's problems post-sale

Due to those facts, even if the law states he has to do X/Y/Z you could end up having such a battle it's not worth the effort. It's for exactly these reasons I'd rather now buy private, and have an immediate couple of hundred quid saving (at least) to act as 'insurance' against any faults. Less hassle, less outlay. smile

Cheers,
Rob

Agreed, provided it's not a clapped out heap.

don't do it.

They are made in france. not at all the japanese made and reliable cars you expect.

When you go to see them you will see a little sticker in the top left of the window with 'made in france'. it's a warning.

I had a 53 plate one for a year, luckily with full toyota warranty. it spent about a month in the garage being fixed.

On the other hand they do handle well, but the 1.3 doesn't have enough poke, especially for hills, so you do have to push it. get the 1.5 instead.
The rear seats moving backwards and forwards is awesome though, so make sure this works. it's a godsend if you have a lot of shopping or need a lot of leg space in the back. just not both together!

oh. forgot to say, the 3 door is impossible to get in and out of, and therefore very hard to shift on as well as being impractical.

yes a 5dr is harder to find, but so so worth it.

I bought a Yaris 1.5 T-sport two years ago for the missus as a town car. Lovely little car and had no problems with it... so go for it.

is the black one so bad? or are cars over 100k really not worth it?
