According to the online articles I've found this was coming into force on the 24th December but the BBC seem to be saying we can use it from today. Can anyone clarify?
I've never seen the accursed thing, but I got the impression that since the announcement of it's impending demise (and the fact that they've only prosecuted something like 30 people for infringement - ever) everyone was just using it anyway.
ah ok. Well, I don't leave London very often but next time I'm on my way back I'm going to go bus lane crazy. The BBC have actually re-run the piece and it does appear that it is now open to everyone anyway...officially!
