Someone has abandoned a TVR 400SE reg B10BBW across the driveway of my (very) elderly father's driveway near St Albans.

Unlocked and roof down.

Police not interested.

Any takers ??

This gives me a touch of 'Déjà vu', not to mention a certain 'Je ne sais quoi'.

Must not have been reported stolen yet I guess.

Mention it in the Wedges forum?

This thread is number one in google for the reg plate so hopefully it will find its rightful owner.

Reckon that will belong to a fanatic with a reg. like that BBW (Big Bad Wedge) ?

Surely the owner must come on PH ? May be worth sticking this in the General TVR section.

St Albans.

I moved into a house there as a student. Took all of 24 hrs before the neighbours reported my car as being stolen / abandoned and "bringing the tone of the neighbourhood down!" to the police.

Obviously my B reg Audi 80 Sport wasn't quite what the old dears expected!

And left with the roof down ???

The old boy (89 yrs old) can't get out. I'm 400 miles away. Needs pushing, please.

I assume he's knocked on the door or phoned the neighbours ?

Can't he go out and put the hazard lights on ? They'll work without the need for an ignition key, which the horn will not. Might get some attention.

Then he can do justifiably do the "young man...................."rant.

I thought blocking a driveway / access was a Police matter if there is a dropped kerb.
Have a word with local highways dept to confirm.
Personally I'd be tempted to let off handbrake and roll it out of the way (and put handbrake back on !) but obviously not so easy for an elderly person.
