Mike Brewer and Paul Weller

Just returned from a weekend in Dublin primarily to see Paul Weller at the Olympia Theatre on Friday night.

Paul Weller was absolutely great.....better than I've seen him in ages. What took my by suprise the most though was the sight of Mike Brewer in the crowd at the front right next to me.

Mike and his pals had obviously had a few and where having a right old time.....but then why not, it's Paul Weller, its's Friday night and you're in Dublin.

Mike seems to get a lot of stick on here and I'm fairly neutral, being quite fond of a bit of Wheeler Dealer etc. every now and again. But I must take my hat of to Mike as on Friday despite obviously being 'off-duty' he could be seen chatting to lots of folk signing autographs etc.....he didn't need to do that really. So good on him.

Didn't someone recently say something pretty similar - they met him and he was a top bloke? Was it Garlick, perhaps!?

I'm sure mike brewer is a really nice bloke, but that wheeler dealers persona he adopted just does my head in big time, and makes me want to hurt him with very sharp pointy objects
