Those won't be the real wings they use, they're just for testing as a quick and simple way of trying different levels of downforce.

It is an open secret that McLaren are looking to produce a number of Le Mans specials to compete in GT racing across the world. A factory backed team is being slowly developed and certain cherry picked race teams will be allowed to run customer cars.

Standard car already has more downforce than it needs.

I believe this has been confirmed today in association with CRS Racing who previously have much Ferrari experience starting from 2012 GT3 season
