VW mk3 gti anniversary, whats it worth?

Not much joy on the VAG furum, so-

Had one of these years ago, a 16v.

Just wondered what the general opinion was of what these cars are worth now. As there was only ever 150 16v models they must be few and far between now?

Are they just above average mk3 money, or more because of there rarity?

Would be the best of a bad bunch. The mk3 wasn't the greatest Golf.

Had one for 3.5K recently but it was very, very low miles mint and had a/c I think. Think he sold it for about 3 grand in the end. Don't think they offer much if anything over a standard 16v other than horrible gaudy trim. Bit like the 25yr anniversary with it's stupid corroding wheels then.

yeah there seems to be a general lack of info on these.

Yeah a mk3 20th anniversary.

Very limited production numbers, I think there was 600 8v, 250 diesels, and 150 16 valvers. Made to celebrate 20 years of the golf! (dont quote me on figures!)

As i said, had one years ago and yeah thought it was a strong motor, my mk2 valver needs babying for the winter and thought a mk3 may be a good daily.

Anyone else out there got or know anyone with a mk3 anni?

Pretty sure they didnt do a diesel MK3 Anniversary

A friend had a Red one, he loved it. And thats all i could really share, there was subtle differences, and different interior to the normal Mk3 GTI's, but i've never really paid much attention, IMO Ugliest golf there is.
