Tracking down a car...

Hello people,

I know this is a long shot but... My Girlfriend's Dad is awkward to buy for come christmas and birthdays... So I have an a brilliant idea (I think its brilliant anyway!!)

I was wondering if it is possible to track any car down? He got a Lotus Europa when he was 20 (or 21, can't remember) and I really want to find it, ask the owner if we could have a picture and get it made into a canvas print for him... Long shot I know lol

Any of you PH'ers able to help in any way?

I take it you know the Reg number?

The DVLA will tell you who owns it for a fee.

Although, if you know the colour and can get hold of the reg, could you not just google for a photo or two to give to the artist to work from and use the correct reg on the plates?

It would be a much better present if you found it, and then bought it for him.
