I was watching TV and saw something move on my bed near my mouth and it ran over and towards the floor! The Duvet and spider went onto the floor. Now I don't like spiders, especially ones which come near my mouth!
I decided the best course of action was to catch said spider, not to kill it cos (a) it would make a horrible mess and (b) I didn't know if it would die on first impact (afterall, it was bigger than my phone charger plugged into the wall), so using a CD cake box I trapped it, and to make sure the bugger didn't move it I put a car stereo on the top
Thankfully it was still there this morn (hard to fall asleep after it I tell ya) and I managed to put it outside and of course take a few pictures of it. It was fecking huge! For reference, the circular thing is a essentially the same size as a CD.
So, in revenge, and ignoring the advice from a mate ("it's only a spider you drama queen", and "ed says burn it, james says kill it, sexy louise says eat it") I put it in the pond
Made a nice meal for one of the fishes one assumes

I don't wish to imply anything, but what are you doing with a car stereo in your bedroom?????? (I hope it was yours!).
I had a similar incident with a big FO spider once, when changing the bed clothes. Unbuttoned the duvet cover and this big 'orrible spider was inside. My first instinct was to throw down the duvet, gasp and take a step back. Wasn't quite expecting it, I can tell you!

well, I have 2 and several speakers next to my computer - I was investigating taking one apart to put the various components into the Marlin seperatly *.
The other came out of my Dad's Rover 216 when he sold it, it's a good stereo and I didn't want it ruined in the garage - it might fit the Marlin somewhere
*Suffice to say it now knackered

The average britain eats between 8 and 11 spiders annually during sleep...
There something for all the arachnophobics...
I thought this was another one of those urban myths.
Not like this baby -
I guessed something was wrong when my box of Cheerios and the dog went missing. I too found this in the duvet, but I thought it was the mrs.

Spiders will wander around if thirsty looking for moisture. Espcially house spiders as our homes are artificially dry and their food tends to be more desicated than it would generally in the wild. So I'd say that yes a few of our 8 legged mates will end up in your mouth at some time. and they will be drinking from your mouth....
I keep spiders as pets and have to say even people that come to my flat that are terrified of them end up saying "arnt they cute and fluffy".
Make really interesting pets.

We get loads like that, I have a special pint glass I use for catching them and putting them out the window. Typically their leg span is about the size of the bottom of the glass, if they start getting any bigger they will be able to grab hold of the rim
October is about the worst time for them, so if you have ones like that now........
