Have some consideration! It was obvious that if he/she skidded, they would have died in a hideous fireball!

Tut tut.

So why are you driving at 10 mph down the centre of the road so no one can get past you and oncoming vehicles have to practically mount the pavement to avoid you?
I'd maintain my position and wait for them to buy me a replacement car. The heap is rusting to death.

Just drove from Riponden - Littleborough over the A58, twisty steep mountain road. Ambient temp -2 degrees.
Lots of suspect wet patches that might have been black ice. Did survive however, and kept over 30 on the whole descent.

Scary Driving.......

Ah ha - I see the bloke who drives up the back road home near me has made it to you. Does the same if it's dark, or the sun is shining, or it's too dry, or spotting with rain, or there is an oncoming set of headlights 4 mile in the distance, or if there is a corner, or if there is too long a straight bit and you might suffocate if you go too fast . . .

No problem with people driving slow - but if onyl they would realise the passing places are there to be used . . . I tend to get upset after going past two . . .

Had this before it had snowed and they had not gritted it at all. The road was a 40mph road due to the slippery conditions I elected to do 20mph seemed perfectly safe, the cars behind seemed happy at this speed too. In the distance I see a Corsa (strange how the spell check wants to change that to curse) pull out of a side road. I catch it up fairly quickly, the procession is now moving at 5mph censoredragefuriouspunchcurseranting

To the OP, you sir are an absolute star.bow

I've now found some like-minded posters. I've spent the last few hours being told off on this thread, because I dared to suggest that the dawdling OP should speed up a bit.

Well said OP. I had that problem going to work this morning and returning this evening. Understandable on the bits of road that were untreated, but on the clear dry parts of road, it was inexcusable. I'm not asking people to do stupid speeds, but more than 30mph in a 60 would be nice. I couldn't get into 4th gear without the car juddering, the one in front was that slow.
