Something that is appealing to look at!

GTV appealing
S2000 appealing
944 appealing

Corrado not appealing (my opinion - dont kill me)
Impreza not appealing
Evo's not appealing

Could you spec a GTV Cup with the tan leather seats? If so I'd go with that.

Or the sort of deep blue that they did. Again, cream leather I think.

Hard to think of anything more asethetically desirable for £5k, and they are at least credible as a driver's car.

I think the Alfa GT coupe is nicer to look at than the GTV, but probably not as good to drive. It's all a balance, I'd raise the budget and get this:

I wouldn't call it sexy, but then I wouldn't call any car sexy.

"Sexy" is an adjective that should be avoided at all costs outside of its natural context - it smacks of linguistic laziness, a lack of imagination, unusual personal proclivities, or all three.

For £5k you could bag yourself a good late-model Maserati Biturbo and a side-helping of brave pills. By all accounts they're not impossible to look after (just don't use the thing every day and lock it up if it's snowing) and you'd be able to say 'I've got a Maserati'.

Maybe not conventionally 'sexy', but has a certain something, even if that something is a burnt-out fuse box smile

No - all the UK Cups were red with half-leather seats. And have identical mechanicals to the normal V6, just an atrocious bodykit. smile

The Cup only came with half leather Chris. Alfa Red with black seats was the only option too IIRC. I always found the normal GTV the more attractive looking car, the Cup bodykit didn't do the lines any favours IMHO. The standard Phase 2 was, to me, the nicest of the bunch.

Nothing BMW....

Probably some sort of classic, although opinions will vary like wild fire I suspect.
