BMW Finance leasing

Does anybody know how strict BMW finance are on the return of lease vehicles in terms of wear and tear etc?

I have heard that Audi require the same type of tyres on the car as when it was supplied and Merc are strict about stone chips and wear and tear.

I'm looking at a 1 series coupe and debating wether to take out the service plan which includes tyres. I haven't checked with the dealers on service prices yet.
