Someone on another forum I'm on had her car nicked this morning, taken while the engine was running as it was being defrosted.

Light blue Megane Sport 225
Reg MF05PFZ
Was stolen from Burntwood 3rd Dec in the morning

no pics yet, will edit if I get any.

Feel bad for her, doubt the insurance will pay out.

Let us know if you see it about anywhere. Cheers smile

Please don't say she left it unattended? frown

Insurance definitely won't cough...

Just read about your Mazda.
Must be gutting having it nicked after 6 days.

Very lucky to get it back!

It was very gutting yes, and of course I was delighted to get it back. It's been a couple of weeks since I got it back now and it's just starting to 'feel right' again. It's a great car.

I hope this Megane is found. I have an immense hatred of car thieves. Any thieves.

Suppose your car has an interesting story to look back on in a few years hehe I hope it gets found too. I absolutely loathe thieves. they genuinely need to be rounded up, doused in petrol and charred to a crisp.

This sort of thing distresses me. I'm still not used to locking my cars or indeed my house. A certain part of me always questions why the hell should I have too. It's quite sad really.

Would you leave 15-20k lying about in the street?

It's the old british mentality of leaving your worthless st in the garage and your brand new car on the drive - never made sense.

At least it should be a bit of closure for you, OP. I take it you won't be getting it back then? Have insurance paid out yet?

Unfortunately, there's a lot of scum out there. It only takes one of them to be a chancer and try your door.

I'm glad that she will get the car back, how much damage that has been done to it is another matter.

makes me wonder whether they'd have taken it anyway, locked & alarmed or not - scumbags mad
