I've just passed a new BMW 3 series with snow socks on - doing 60 on a completely clear M9. They were starting to disintegrate, and the driver deliberately ignored me when I pointed to them as I passed.

Sigh.

No doubt he'll be writing to complain that they've not lasted.

Haven't had a chance to use mine due to lack of snow.

Muppetry of the highest order!

We've got some snow socks, and they really are good for what they are designed to do, ie get you moving if you get stuck!

Mine worked well enough, but I ended up getting winter tyres as I am in Central Scotland so had to use them a lot, and could never find anywhere safe to pull over to get them on or off as everywhere becomes single track in this weather.

I think that says less about Snow Socks and more about a general level of moronic behaviour in some.

I mugged a tramp, nicked his trousers and cardboard house. Stuck it all in the boot for when I get stuck.

Good idea. If it gets really bad you can eat the tramp.

yes His bodyparts are stored in the coalshed. It's so cold I don't need to stick them in the chest freezer for a change.

Edit: to delete spare word when I was rewording original reply!

Lol its so funny when people dont know how to use snow socks properly... I was walking to the pub with my mate the other night, saw some muppet on the main road (barely any snow) with snow socks on... then he stopped dead at a roundabout, got out of his car, walked round to look at the snow socks, then got in his car and continue... I was very confused... Even my mate who doesnt drive knew that he should have taken them off!!!

I'm afraid I have to disappoint... But we tried shouting down at him to take them off... but he ignored us... I suppose he'll just have to waste that £50 he paid then... (Guessing)

Heh. Now that would have been even better, but she had at least put them on the rears.

RWD BMW. Should they be fitted front, rear or both?

Ah yes but you are forgetting one thing.

3 Series drivers are sheaths.

Both, really - I'd quite like drive and steering, if it were me! - but if just one then rear so you don't get stuck, I presume
