How do you choose yours..

Your next car. Of course for a high percentage on here its a what car thread, someone pipes up to say mx5, quickly followed by the OP's response trying not to say he wants one, but its a girls car, but another way round it.. I waffle.
For me, I tend to change cars at least once a year, maybe more. I like change. I usually start with my want list, then first step is can I afford one? Second, crack open the mercats. Can I insure it. Third, perhaps unusual, youtube, How does it sound (I like sound) Forth step, if I get this far without buying the first rusty capri I find (only happened three times..) Research! Check the forums, owners clubs, parts back up etc.
I've perfected this over the last 5 years and so far I'm bloody happy, making money on each car (incidental, but nice) and had great fun with the 944, mx5, e34 535, capri(s), calibra turbo - yes really - and reckon it'll be a DC2 next time. Or x300 xjr. Or maybe a tinkered Minor..
