As if you don't need to be reminded its Christmas and a number of people are selling cars to aid the cash flow,

so you don't really need these people trying to spend little Johnny's latest action man money or games console games.

beware that if you have a car listed and they call you from 01992 655486 (although i am sure they have other numbers)

Their Script (a little something like this)

We have a number of buyers looking exactly for your car and they would like to view it, although you need to register with them for a fee of £99.00

did you want a bank transfer or cash as payment ?

if we finance the car you get your money back. but you will sell your car in a few days so pay the registration fee of £99

are you free tomorrow for a viewing ?

and from what i have read on the internet they will call weekly for the time your car is advertised

their story is plausible but stop and think for a min is your car the sort you see on those guaranteed credit websites >

Is that scam still going? I put a car on wwww.carandclassic.co.uk and within minutes had a finace company ask me if I was willing to sell the car to a second party via them. They'd ask for an up front handling fee from me and charge the buyer intrest on the hp. During a recession there will always be people out there willing to take advantage of people who are in a hole already. furious

Thanks for the link I'll send them a few viruses later. wink
