Got myself some money, want to a buy a nice sporty hatchback, been looking at corsa vxrs and clio 197s, but i cant seem to think of any others for some reason, ive got 4 years no claims and im 21 so not too worried about insurance, but suggestions would be much appreciated, cheers folks!

I was in a similar situation last year when I was 21, bought a gay TT instead though, I bet that insurance would be a pleasant surprise and would be shocked if it was more than the three you listed

Z4 3.0i

Do it

A little predictable, but a maybe Focus ST? For me it would have to be a Mountune conversion (not sure if they fall into the £9k bracket) or Bluefin mapped (£400) at the very least.

These cars are totally transformed by these.

What about a 306 gti6? Can pick them up for 1k now! And have 8k spare? Or a supercharged one for a few k more? If ur after a fast hatch that will tick most of the boxes. I'd only spend 9k on something a bit more special.

Pick up an unmodified one and you could potentially make money on it over 3/4 years.

Also I you want to spend £9k on a car, whats the point buying a £1k crappy old French car?

Admittedly I have a 182, but would jump at the chance to have a Z4 or the like

That budget would buy you a gem of a 147 GTA. You know it makes sense.

Of course, I had my MK1 RS insured at 19, so you can insure it just depends on the cost...
