Looking for some tyres for the shed. Premium brands are only a few quid more expensive than budget tyres at this level so I will get something decent.

I don't do many miles so whatever I get will probably be on there 4-5 years or until I sell it.

Has anyone got any experience of these:

  • Continental EcoContact 3
  • Pirelli Cinturato P6
  • Dunlop SP FastResponse
  • Goodyear Duragrip
They are all about the same level of price £52-55/tyre fitted.

The car is a year-round hack but most of the use is Autumn/Winter. Not looking for anything ultra grippy, just something that is safe in the dry and performs well in the wet whilst providing a good tyre life.

Noise not an issue as the car has the 1.9 TD XUD engine which sounds like it houses a group of miners excavating the cylinder bores by pickaxe.

Hello Merlot

I have got the Goodyear Duragrips on my Ka and they are alright. They are way better then the last set of tyres. I have used them in all kinds of weather and I have never had any problems and they are really grippy.

Hope this helps

I'd go for the Continentals out of those. As good as Michelins, IMO.
