Do It!

Bought my 4.0 Facelift this year and have loved absolutely every moment and, accepting the 23 mpg, she has been fine to ruun so far.

Yes, very stupid.

Those headlights are dreadful.

Get an early XK8, much cooler than an XJS IMO. You need a chestwig for the latter and some sort of smoking device for the former (I personally would go with a cigar!). bandit

Not foolish at all. My wife was running one of those when I first met her in '96.

It wasn't ruinous at all

biggrin

ETA. Although she did boil the brake fluid coming down a particularly long, twisty hill, which led to a few brown trouser moments

My 1995 Celebration (Ice Blue) was the best car i've ever owned. I only had it 4 months or so but it never missed a beat..was smooth, quiet, brisk and there were NO rattles or shakes/trim falling off.

Everywhere she went she turned heads....stunning old cars, sooo much presence!!! Early XK8's like naff in comparison.

Having managed that many miles it's clearly a good'un. You'd be mad not to.

The facelift is definitely the way to go.
