Seen a billion times on youtube, but this has always made me wonder the lengths people go to so that they can video a car at some traffic lights for it to drive off drive of, them then running off dodging in and out of people just to see a car pulling off again. I mean how desperate must you be to get a video on youtube of a ferrari pulling away from some lights( quite frankly none of them ever "accelerate really hard" )?

Heres a couple of examples

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLIS9VfVNO8

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UR-6EbTSKfk

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bwU1rKtANcE&fea...

I mean if you were the owner of either of them would you not think to quite clearly tell them to fk off?

Rant over.

I'd say some of the owners relish that attention given to them by star struck schoolkids, like the Arab Knightsbridge lot.

This thread is full of win, I'm calling it early.

Perhaps they are genuinely excited to see a (insert whichever car here) in the flesh?

There are far bigger wastes of bandwidth available on yootoob.

How did you come across, view and have time to post such pointless videos here?

Surely that is rather ironic?

nb - I haven't viewed the link as on a phone, but really, really?

I once had a group of lads in a knackered old escort all stareing so much at my car, that the "driver" didn't notice the bus ahead of them in the stop start traffic, er, stopping, crunch... sorry to say i laughed my ass off!

And watch this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zN4lTBtLzfw

ETA: I can understand why people who don't see these cars often would run after them to get a photo or a video, it could be the only chance they get to see such a car driving on the road.

This ^^^^^

What I find rather more sad and pathetic, is that the owners of the vehicles feel the need to drive around in never-ending circles creating jams to flaunt their wealth to the peasants.

They love it!

One or two of the photographers from abroad do have a habit of literally just walking into the road in front of cars, putting their tripods out and taking a photo before the car can move on - now I'm not a fan of that.

I'll admit to sprinting to gorp at the driver of a Veyron in Monte Carlo, I must have looked a right prat but that was probably the first and last chance I'll get to see that car in the 'real world'

What chuckled me the most about how sad that all was, was that the Lambo had a brake light out.

Surely if it was his, he'd get that seen to.

That car is owned by a supercar rental company and is regularly seen in London with different drivers.

In that particular case then that company is committing an offence (health and safety wise) allowing that vehicle to be driven in an unroadworthy state.
