Snow - 4x4, mid engined, front wheel drive, rear engined
Discussion
I own a RWD and FWD. Both seem able to cope with a few inches of snow for general mobility.
However, as road cars go, what format works best for 2-5 inches of snow in the UK.
We only get a handful of days per year when it snows(sorry a bloody southern here) but I am starting to do more national travel all year round.
Is it worth getting a four wheel drive CAR?
How are four wheel drive Audi's doing or 911 or R8 etc?
Just curious what your experience is?

Mid engined. Yes. I can highly recommend these - the Mk 3 Toyota MR2 stands out particularly to me as a car of epic snow/ice traction and mobility. It displayed no tendencies whatsoever to spin round and round and round at the slightest provocation and most certainly did not ever get stuck on 1mm deep frost. Oh no.
