i have a vauxhall astra on a 05 reg 1.6 ecotec sxi would any one know were the fault code reader plugs in

I had the previous shape Astra, and I believe you get to the socket by removing the plastic trim below the handbreak lever handle. Not sure if it is the same in the newer model.
